Genital warts   introduction

Genital warts are referred as Condyloma acuminata is a contagious disease caused by Human Papillomaviruses (HPV). It is a sexually transmitted infection and is spread by direct skin to skin contact during oral, genital or anal sex. These are found as flesh colored or grey outgrowth in the genital area. Warts may occur either single or in group. They may or may not cause itching and pain.

Genital warts are seen in both men and women but more common in women. Most patients with genital warts are of 17-33 years and children of ages younger than 3 years.
