• Blood tests – to check the number of white blood cells and also to check substance like    lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) because high level of LDH may cause lymphoma

• Fine needle biopsy – this procedure involves taking a sample of cells from the swollen lymphatic node using a thin needle attached to a syringe. It is done with the help of CT scan and other imaging techniques

• Large needle/core biopsy – this procedure involves taking sample of tissue from the tumour. It is done with the help of CT scan and other imaging techniques

• Bone marrow tests

• Ultrasound

• CT scan – a type of x-ray that produces detailed, cross-sectional images of  body

• Positron emission tomography – it is used to detect small deposits that do not show on CT scanning
