Influenza » causes


Influenza is due to three types of strains of virus.

Influenza A - it is the most serious type of virus. Out break is seen usually for every 2-3 years. It can also cause death in some vulnerable patients.

Influenza B - it is lees severe than type A and outbreaks are very smaller. It affects mostly children those who are not exposed to virus.

Influenza C - it is the mildest form of virus and is seen rarely

Infant or young child, elder people

People who have

  • Diabetes

  • Lung or heart disease

  • Weakened immune system

  • Kidney related problems

  • Working in an health care area where there is likely exposure to flu virus
