Doctor's Response (Posted on : 07 Oct 2008 )

As you have been diagnosed with depression(and are on anti-depressants )the increased sleep is a symptom of depression.Sometimes people tend to sleep more as a way of coping with difficult situations. If this is happening with you, a consultation with a psychiatrist / psychologist will be beneficial to deal with it.On the other hand establishing some structures to your day, having some goals / targets for yourself will also give you something to look forward to and get out of bed.
