I am 26 years 5ft 6 inch , i was diagnised with pcod, so now as i want to conceive, i am advised to take regestrone first by my doctor, then after my periods on 2nd day i have to take letroz 2.5mg then have to undergo scan to check follicular growth and then hcg injection to rupture follicale and to have intercourse...so is it the right path or any other m,edicine is possible as have completed one cycle but of no use...plz suggest if its right way or i shud take a second opinion
Doctor's Response (Posted on : 29 Jan 2009 )

The treatment is correct but it may or may not work in some patients, the problem in PCOD is that the ovulation may not happen inspite of the treatment or the endometrial thickness may not be enough. Did you get an ultrasound scan the first cycle when it failed.
