Question (Posted on :  03 Oct 2008 )

There are small fat deposits under the skin on many parts of my body, particularly the arms. Once, on consulting a doctor said they were lesions and may be harmless. I would like to have more info. Thanks
Doctor's Response (Posted on : 03 Oct 2008 )

the fat deposits under the skin are called lipomas. they are nothing but encapsulated fat. they are usually asymptomatic except when the vascular component is more (angiolipoma) these are painful. they can be excised if they are cosmetically disfiguring. homeopathy may be useful
