My father age 90 years having problem of prostats and since he was not prepared for operation a cathator has been implemented on upper side before 4 years.Now he is complaining for pain in urinary tract perheps be a sensation of urine and some time severe pain.The cathator is being replaced to a regular intervel of 40-45 days.Generally following medicines are usedAlkacitron SyrupFloxicilineCistone (Himalaya)Kindly advice any risk factor/medicine.

Following catheter insertion, there may be infection and needs urine culture and treat the infection. Operation at this age may be risky.
