Doctor's Response (Posted on : 23 Oct 2008 )

I am very sorry that you are having problem with your reproductive organ and since you are unmarried and young you are not able to get proper help. Do not worry. I will help your as much as I can.You have the problem of irregular periods. Irregular periods do occur when there is any disease in the reproductive organ and due to hormonal imbalance. Since your doctor told you that you will get regular periods in course of time it may be because of hormonal imbalance. Hormonal imbalance in a adolescent can be temporary. Hormonal secretion depends upon the general health of the individual, and other emotional factors. Do tell me if you have any problem with your general health and also if you are disturbed emotionally especially if you are feeling depressed or mood off. Anaemic can also cause irregular periods. I understand you took iron tablets at 19. Please tell me how long you took your iron tablets and whether you are continuing or discontinued. Blood hemoglobin test can tell us whether you are anaemic. Please get a blood hemoglobin test done in a lab and send me the report.Any pathology of the internal organ is ruled out for you because after ultrasonogram of pelvis your doctor has given you only hormonal tablet. She has not mentioned any pathology or treated any pathology for you. Heaviness and pain in the breast must occurs before menstruation. It may be a harmless symptoms. When you are tensed also there is a feeling of heaviness in the breast.Do not use any medicine or cream, in the vagina without a Gynecologist advise. It may harm your reproductive tract. Genital warts is a infection of the sexual organ. It is spread by sexual contact. If you tell me whether you have history of sexual contact may be then I will tell you in detail about treating warts and getting rid of it. It is better you come to know about genital wart after confirmation of the infection by your doctor, otherwise it may confuse you and make you get more worried, which I donrsquo;t want you to experience. My advise for you is to keep yourself very clean and also wear clean dry under garments. You have mentioned that during the time before your periods you had white discharge with itching in genitals and burning in vagina. This is clearly infection of the reproductive tract. I advise you to see a Gynaecologist and undergo examination of the discharge under microscope and find out what infection is causing this problem. Get treated according to the infection. You need not worry that it may be a complicated procedure. Now a days, diagnosis and treatment of Reproductive Tract Infection is very simple and effective. You may be rid of the problem soon.I advise you get your breast also examined by a Gynaecologist under strict privacy and take treatment according to the type of problem. Otherwise you can also tell me more about the problem. You have mentioned you have itching in the breast. Tell me where it is whether it is in the nipple, in area or around it i.e the areola and in the breast surface whether there is itching in the axilla.
