Question
(Posted on : 22 Oct 2008 ) My foot's thumb nail is giving problem to me quite since number of years. I had consulted number of doctors. I had got it removed thru sugery number of times. As per Doctor this problem occured because I might have wore tight shoes. This might be true to some extent. But what is happening problem is coming again and again. As per Doctor Nail grows towards side and it goes inside skin. As per Doctor only soultion for this is keep on getting nail removed whenever it gets inside skin. He says I have to get my entire nail removed. My shoe size is 10. For most of companies I am comfortable at 10 but sometimes some non standard companies make 10 shoe size smaller and that creates problem. Pleas guide I am sick of this problem |

Doctor's Response (Posted on : 22 Oct 2008 ) Your problem is probably due to an 'ingrowing toe nail'. The trick to prevent a recurrence is to Phenolise the edges of the nail matrix to prevent nail growth at the extreme edges. |
