Dear doctor , Iam a lady of 55 yrs.For the past 2 yrs Iam having pain in the viginal area .In the pap smear it came as cervical inflamation , and the doctor precribed intibiotic.But now also the pain continue.Please advice me further.Iam married wiith one son.

If the symptom of vaginal pain persists then you should undergo check-up by your gynaecologist and get a pelvic sonography done to rule out any local problem. It is also advisible to treat your spouse as other wise the vaginal infection recurrs.
