Question
(Posted on : 03 Dec 2008 ) I am a 27 years old male. I started getting palpitations last year with a slight elevated BP i.e.155/95 and a headache. So i consulted a cardiologist. He prescribed me a beta-blocker i.e.Seloken XL 50 and asked me to continue the same. I had my ECG done with all blood reports showing normal. My BP always remains 140/90 and the doctor told me that this is normal. But the headache is still persisting and i'm gaining weight also. |

You may be having a endocrine disorder which is causing elevated blood pressure and weight gain. With out further delay please get a second opinion from a cardiologist and an endocrinologist.
