Doctor's Response (Posted on : 21 Jan 2009 )

Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) is usually done with out ovulation induction drugs - what was the drug your received ? Luteinizing Hormone Surge (LHS) indicates a sudden rise in Luteinizing Hormone leading to ovulation. The normal LH levels are 5-20 mIU/ml. So your hormones rose above the level to cause ovulation. Ideally endometrial thickness should be above 8mm and in your cause it is above the normal so there is a good chance for conception. Your age is also suitable for a conception, and the only factor may be your husband's sperm quality.
