Clinical Leadership and Innovation Program (CLIP)
Over-arching theme
CLIP fellowship aims to support young and innovative medical professionals in the areas of primary care, medical education and entrepreneurship. Clinnovo will provide faculty or mentors of such a fellowship program.

Structure
There are three areas where a CLIP fellow can make a proposal which will be approved via a competitive process. Each CLIP project will have 3 months of "research" or build-up phase where the fellow can build her proposal towards a tangible goal. CLIPS applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and can be "sponsored" by other parties but will be organized and mentored by Clinnovo.
Primary Care
Clinnovo has a strong focus on promoting primary care, and applicant has to come up with proposals coveringprimacy care in India. An example could be "maternal health & education". The aim is to avoid duplicating or trying to fix government initiatives and focus on new approaches to solve the issue.
Medical Education
The applicant is needed to make proposal on implementing a pilot how we can bring a significant change in way medical education is delivered. An example could be providing open access to all the course materials for say Pathology.
Entrepreneurship
The applicant can propose areas or themes where the fellow to move from an idea to a prototype or solicit ideas. One example could be "Active Patient Care - physicians' office engaging in communication with the patient".

Application Process
Applications have to be submitted in English and can submitted by email to contact@clinnovo.com with subject"CLIP 2009". The applications should include a one page proposal (Font size 12, single line spacing, no graphics or tables are needed) together with the applicants resume and covering letter stating his/her interest.
Clinnovo will invite an independent panel of reviewers who will review the proposals and make a short list by August 1st 2009. If short-listed the applicant is expected to do a online or in-person presentation for 20 mins elaborating the proposal.
The fellowship period for 2009 will start Sept 1st 2009. The fellowship stipend will depend on the innovativeness of the proposal, and will include travel costs if needed. Most of the mentors will be based abroad and we expect the communication to be by email and phone.
